I often trawl the internet before I go out for the day, looking for dog friendly places to visit in the Coventry and Warwickshire area.

If you've ever been down south, to the Isle of Wight or the New Forest, it's a given, that pooches are allowed into nearly all pubs and most shops.  Here in the West Midlands, however it's a different story.

So here, I've compiled a helpful guide, with a range of dog friendly pubs and shops in Coventry, Kenilworth, Leamington and around:

The Bear at Berkswell - Coventry

The Greyhound Inn - Coventry

The Oak - Baginton

Ye Olds Saracens Head - Balsall Common

The Queen and Castle - Kenilworth

The Clarendon Arms - Kenilworth

The Almanack - Kenilworth

Wyevale Garden Centres - Various Locations

Fargo Village Coventry - A repurposed creative retail, food and craft venue.

Bannerbrook Pet shop - Bannerbrook Park, Coventry

Looking for some great dog friendly adventurous walks around the Coventry and Warwickshire area? Look no further, here we have listed some of the best local short routes that you and your dog can enjoy.  We do our local dog walks, through a range of landscapes, including, woodland, farmland and meadows.

Millisons Wood

Length: Varied

Features: Woodland nature reserve, farmland

Start at the woodland entrance at the end of Albert Road, Millisons Wood, Solihull. Using the OS maps app, follow a range of marked footpaths to complete a circular walk up through fields and along Back Lane. This normally takes around 1 hour.

Kenilworth Greenway

Length: Varied

Features: Cycle way, farmland, woodland and meadows

There are many places to start on this dog walk, and many different routes to follow.  We park under the small bridge on Hollis Lane, Kenilworth and walk left along the Greenway until you come to a footpath on the right which leads you down through meadows.  This will eventually lead you back to the Greenway on a circular route and takes around one hour.  Just beware of cyclists with your dog.
